Phillip Rossington is a Principal of BVN and a registered architect with 25 years of experience.
This experience is in award-winning educational, residential, commercial, hospitality and interior projects. Phillip’s portfolio of work also includes heritage/adaptive reuse and sustainable design projects. Graduating from the University of Newcastle in 1991 with honours and the NSW RAIA Design Medal, Phillip has since tutored at the University of Newcastle.
Recent work includes a series of design excellence competition-winning schemes such as the Arthur Phillip High School Parramatta, the first high-rise public school in NSW, the Greenland Residential Tower, Sydney’s tallest residential tower, a new 50 storey residential and hotel tower over the historic Sydney Tattersalls Club and the redevelopment of the Sirius building in the historic Rocks precinct. In addition to these projects, Phillip has been design directing substantial new educational facilities at a number of schools including, Oakhill College Castle Hill, MLC Burwood, Kincoppal School Rose Bay, International Grammar School Ultimo, St Patricks College Strathfield and Ascham School Edgecliff.
For Phillip, every element of a design solution must be in support of the overarching vision. Phillip is a people person and while he designs bespoke solutions for end users, he is equally skilled in creating and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. On every project across multiple sectors, Phillip is empathetic to clients’ needs, project objectives, and focuses on making an architectural contribution to society.
